What is Beard Oil?

Beards and Beavers Beard Oils are an exclusive blend of high quality natural carrier and essential oils. We offer three original, very different scents that have been thoroughly created by us from start to finish. We spent hours researching and sourcing the best base and essential oils that would provide the most magnificent skin and facial hair benefits. Our choice of essential oils not only make beards soft and subtle they make any beard smell oh so, heavenly (woman tested, man approved!). Let’s just say they made our hearts beat and our eyes widen with excitement. We also produce a non fragranced version called, 'Buck Naked', which is the same blend of carrier oils with the addition of extra Vitamin E.

Who Should Use Beard Oil?

Beard oil is made for any man who desires luscious face fur. Yea that’s, YOU! Our Beard Oil not only tames your facial hair, it makes it soft and irresistible. This oil is so good, it can even be used on the rest of your face, lips and neck. Try not to get it into your eyes. Rub-in any leftover oil on your hands, those will soften too. Yea, our Beard Oil is great, we know.

What oils make up our Beard Oil?

Our Beard Oils are made with a high quality blend of all or some of  these five oils, which provide the following benefits:

Apricot Kernel oil is high in Vitamin A and C. It softens and moisturizes both your face and beard - taming your grizzly mane! This very light and non-greasy base oil absorbs quickly into your skin.

Grapeseed oil is high in essential fatty acids and Vitamin E. It glides well on your face and beard. It too has moisturizing properties, assisting in skin repair. It is also rich in linoleic acid levels, which is helpful in healing cuts or battle wounds.

Argan oil* is a super oil, rich in vitamins and antioxidants – exactly what your beard needs! Argan oil has anti-aging and restructuring properties, making it particularly nourishing for dry and scratchy beards. It also has anti-inflammatory and sebum regulating properties. This oil is a key addition to our oil blends, since it help stops any acne from forming under your beard. Not to mention, it also prevents that horrible beard itch.

Jojoba oil is another great conditioning oil that also works wonders on congested pores. It is especially protective and is therefore a must during any excisions in the great outdoors or for bearded suits battling downtown pollution. It nourishes and protects your facial goodness.

Sunflower oil  is a healthy way of maintaining great skin, thanks to its calming and moisturizing properties. Being rich in nutrients and antioxidants, it is found to be effective against acne, inflammation, general redness and irritation of the skin.

**Argan oil is extracted from the nuts of the Argan tree, nut allergy sufferers should consult a doctor before use.**

What is the difference between Beard balm and Beard oil?

This is one of the most frequent questions we get asked here at Beards and Beavers. Some beards like to use just one, but others go for both of these beard grooming essentials.

Which one should you use?

It's all down to personal preference. Those with a shorter length beard might opt for oil. Those beards that are longer and have some unruly hairs often use balm with beard oil. You might opt for the beard balm if you find your beard needs smoothing down and taming - as it provides just enough hold to keep it looking on point. Don’t worry your beaver will still be able to run her hands through. We recommend pairing our beard balm with our limited edition wood combs, which will help to smooth out any tangles even further.

Both our oils and balm contain lots of hair and skin enhancing nutrients, such as jojoba oil, argan oil, apricot kernel oil, grapeseed oil and not to mention vitamin E. Our products condition your beard, without weighing it down or clogging up your pores, it's light and makes your beard smell fantastic.
